Exhaltation of the Holy Cross – Year C
The image of the cross is one of the great symbols of the Christian faith. On the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus, which conquers all sin and death. The cross is the symbol of salvation; a holy sign, it invites us to contemplate God’s abounding love for us. This one of 4 “Feasts of the Lord” which, when they fall on Sunday take precedence over the “Ordinary Time” Sunday.
